So, yesterday Omaha took a hit while discussing the College World Series. I am a huge fan of the CWS and would hate to see it move to another city, but it just might happen. The Omaha-World Hearld reports that, "an independent seven-member stadium review committee unanimously concluded that the best way to keep the CWS in Omaha is not to renovate Rosenblatt Stadium, but rather to build a new stadium on the grounds of the Qwest Center Omaha." That SUCKS! So basically they want to tear up parking lots used for the Qwest Center and put a downtown baseball stadium in there. Real bright there fellas!
There still is the chance the CWS will stay in Omaha, but there are serious issues to be worked out.
I have personal reasons to keep the CWS in Omaha. Its close, and its a good road trip during June. I can't think of a better area for it. Of course there are doubters of Omaha, but shame on them if they live in the Midwest.
